I didn’t realize birds did that! Does it really piece the flower or insert beak between the leaves to get the nectar?
…well there’s Wikipedia and it appears that they indeed pierce the flower! Pretty interesting evolutionary adaption!

Yes Asher they do indeed with a special hooked beak.
