Jim,

Great use of the discovered new environment with flamboyant flying curtains framing a fabulous woman!

1769

The convergence of verticals from ceiling to floor pushes attention to the center and the isolated young woman,

.....both hands on her knees posed symmetrically, equal portions of “Cleopatra-groomed”, orange hair, to each side of her perfectly lovely face!

Delightful and stylish, and almost British, Twiggy-Beatles era pop fashion!

I appreciate so much the superb lively pictures and the beautifully rich language of Baudelaire, Voltaire, Hugo and Sartre!

Re: Languages: Diversity is a superb idea. I can only manage French, Spanish German with considerably more difficulty and Hebrew with help!

Dutch, Portuguese, Russian Arabic and Turkish and hundreds more, are so beyond me! I will look for automatic translator admins!

Hey Asher!

Been a bit.. but picking up the camera again :)

although older image.. figured I'd add a few natural light images (actually pretty much the only type of light I use for portraits.

These are from window light (a BNB we stayed in during a trip to Montreal.. and this sitting room was just windows (and gaudy furniture :) )

SO hopefully a two picture post. With one that fits the theme.

First the quick snap, just because I wanted to get a picture of the lady in the beautiful dress.
And then the after ask, permission, and specific posing, and a bit of exposure correction.

From this past weekend, where I forgot that hot light in the sky is indeed hot and I should have worn a hat or at least sun block.

All other shots were more deliberate that weekend

Tim a very strong character! What was the occasion?

Asher
The occasion was the local SCA barony's 40th Birthday Event.

In case were not aware of them.
SCA=Society for Creative Anachronism; A recreation group focusing on basically Cave Man to ~1600 AD, although the majority are in the 1300 to 1600 AD range. World Wide.

Local Groups are either Shires or Baronies, in this case Barony of Tir-y-Don (northern half of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia).
It was a kingdom level event (Kingdom of Atlantia), so people show up in their fancier outfits.

Kingdoms are the regional group level Atlantia is the mid-Atlantic region, I only know a few others, Caid Being Southern California, Calontir being the midwest centered somewhat around Nebraska, An Tir (being Northwest think Oregon/Washington)
Ansteora being Texas, and then Drachenwald being Germany. Several more, including a group in Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

Complete Trivia: in the SCA I go by Timothy Longwatcher, a Byzantine scout-archer turned merchant.
Edit: And since I have an Award of Arms, I am considered a noble in the SCA (which about 90% of the SCA member get Awards of Arms at some point if they are at all participating in some fashion.
